A Guide to Look Thin on Your Uniforms: Nice Slimming Scrubs

As a nurse and having a very busy nature of work will not be concerned with their body fitness though it would sum up to be not an excuse. But the reality is many nurse today actually gain weight and lumps even at a very rigid schedule. This phenomenon is an understandable occurrence and it is but a challenge for nurses to become fit whenever possible so they can line up with the demands of their profession.

Indeed as nurse, they would not be thinking and be have more concern about their body fitness. But it is apt to give our bulging nurses advice on how they can make themselves look thin on their medical scrubs while working hard on the slimming procedure. Is it really possible to adapt the fashion techniques of looking thin to nursing uniforms and scrubs? If so, then how? And if not, then why?

In this fortunate event, fashion techniques are also effective and applicable to medical scrubs for nurses. Now, we can hide those lumps by just simply employing basic fashion styles and secrets. Here Katie Sparks shares her advice on how to look slim on your medical scrub. Her article about this subject can be read over Scrubs.com.

1. The Monochrome

As Katie expressed that with monochrome solid colored scrubs where one’s body lines can be elongated and be made leaner at least visually. Though many nurses considered this as an orthodox and the usual way of wearing scrubs, there is an underlying benefit from just using the usual. Also, to conceal those lumps it is good that aside from choosing monochromatic scrubs, use a darker colored ones. And because lines affects the overall package much, bent into the simpler scoop neck complements the color.

2. Don’t Settle for Tight; Despise the Loose

It is not good to see those lumping curves of yours so it would be better not to wear a tight dresses and may say hate to wear to kind of clothes. Coequally, baggy scrubs won’t hide the bulges and it would even bloat you up visually. Donning just the right size of medical scrubs just make it pretty much perfect.

3. Be Mindful of the Details

Do you what is the reason why designers put round neck or v-neck in scrubs and why they put embroideries or laces? These details are very important as they can make you look big or thin. V-neck scrubs create longer lines vertically thus making you looks thin.

4. Pants Matter Most

Finding the right size of pants will make your hips and legs look just fine. Eliminate the pockets and pleats as these lines and extra bulk factors can add up to the pounds. It is better to use flared pants that reached through the shoe tops so to make your legs look longer.

5. Right Prints are Essential

You can't just wear scrubs because it is a fad and everybody else in the hospital wears it. We can find many medical scrubs that don floral prints among others. These prints are not bad; however their sizes can affect how you look. Big and loud prints can suggest a bigger wears so by tricking the eye with smaller prints makes you look like thin.

How A Nurse Gets Regular Exercise

Do you automatically prepare for the hospital when you wake up? Are you often rushing to make things done at work so you can go home early and be able to accomplish your tasks as a mother or father of your family? Know my friend that you are suffering from the symptoms of a disease which we can call as obesity. It is basically a body energy imbalance, wherein fats develop and accumulate in an individual’s body year after year. This is usually caused by overeating, unhealthy diet, and lack of proper sleep as well as exercise.

As a person in hospital uniforms, how will you be able to save yourself from gaining too much weight despite the busy schedule? Tons of suggestions are available in books, health magazines and in the internet, but they seem to not simply work for you. Having no time for exercise and eating, compromises even the health of the health care workers. The answer to this problem is simple; make a schedule that would allow you to get regular exercise. Besides, you know first hand as a nurse, the risks of being deprived from physical activities necessary to burn calories and fats as well as improve heart performance and blood circulation. Tomorrow can be the start of a healthier schedule, so here are some tips on how to be regular on your exercise despite busy schedule:

Wake up earlier. During your regular day as a nurse, adjust your clock one hour or so for the exercise you plan

to do for the day. However, you’ll have to give up some of the less important things that you normally do before sleeping. That will allow you to still get enough sleep and energy for the next day. The most convenient method of exercise to fit you during these days is the use of exercise machines such as the treadmill. The machine is a little costly, though. So you might as well simply choose jogging.

Allow for a 30-minute brisk walk in coming to and leaving from work. Park your vehicle or get off the bus in a distance that would allow you to walk 30 minutes from reaching the hospital or clinic where you are working. After work, you will also have to walk 30 minutes to your car or to a bus stop.

Ride a bike. If the place and your situation permits, biking is a very good exercise you can do while going to and from the hospital.

Enroll in a gym for yoga, aerobic or dance sessions. Why not talk to some of your colleagues, and see if you can build a group so that you all would be encouraged to go regularly. You can also hire someone to train you at home during weekends or on a scheduled time and

day.

Play. A more competitive and more interactive method of exercise that everyone will surely enjoy is called playing. Among the suggested games are tennis, squashand racquetball. You can enjoy any of these with your fellow nurses.

Go swimming or hiking. There’s no better way to keep a good health and maintain normal body weight than doing so through the things you love. Swim or go hiking just like before.

A recent study suggests women exercise 1 hour a day to weight. If you plan to reduce weight moderate intensity exercise would need to be done along with healthier diet. For people suffering from health problems, be sure to consult your physician before engaging in any kind of exercise.

have you heard about the sound of hell?do you believe that?

Four Important Things to Gear up a Nurse

Soldiers have guns and firefighters have their fire protectors. Just as carpenters have their hammers and mechanics their wrench. Every job, according to an old adage, requires a good and right tool thus nursing profession is not exempted. To get the best performance expected of a nurse, their skills must be accompanied with great tools and apparels. We have seen several articles of nurses and about nurses that wish universal, high technological suits to help them perform their jobs well. Well modern equipments are good but as long as these wishes are yet coming true, going back to basics is a lot of help.

What you would have here are the basic things that you should have with you before going to work. Of course, nur

ses will have their own sets and non-nurses would be thinking of these gears. So, this list of four main gadgets may vary according to every nurse’s perception. But, all in all, the things you can find here are of great help.

  1. Stethos cope - This is very elementary. Yes. Every nurses need to have a stethoscope. But as an observation, lately nurses no longer bring with them their own stethoscopes. For some reason that is, some hospitals provide them with one and they have it in their personal lockers. No matter the reason is or what this entry might look like for some, stethoscopes are important part of a nurse’s duty and it should either cling around his or her nape or primly kept on the medical scrubs.
  2. Clogs or Shoes – Being mobile is very important for a nurse and because of this proper shoes or clogs must be used. Rubber shoes are recommended because they do not easily slip off the floor and the breathable canvas are just the best materials to help the feet relax. Be cautioned of using sliders as it might cause accident when you are faced with emergency situation.
  3. Pens and Tablets – How would you ever chart a patients’ development with bare hands? Pens are important partners of nurses so make sure that your have always this tiny friend on your medical scrubs. Though one pen is enough but having 2 to 3 pens each with different color than the other is recommended. This is not for you to do art while on duty but just great way of putting emphasis on what you put in the chart. O yes. You can also equip yourself with highlighter and a sticky note.
  4. Watch – Remember when you were just in nursing school, watches are a must. Time in nursing is very important and you always need this small gadget. There are great watches out there though wristwatches are great. There are also watches that you can pin to your scrubs if you do not want to accessories your arm.

Other than these four, the most important of course would be your medical scrubs. You can always choose the best looking and super comfortable scrubs out there. Choose those with enough pockets so you can put everything that you needed in your duty in it.

Of Going Back to White Scrub

While I am searching and reading a blogs I have read one which says that there will be a new policy in wearing medical uniforms. The following short statement I have got from one blog can be read below:

"Starting July this year, some 7000 healthcare workers will start to shelf their most loved cartoon character imprinted medical scrubs and fashionable medical apparels and accessories as one hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah implemented a rule banning any inappropriate apparels to be used in hospitals. That being said, several practitioners had expressed dismay over what seems to be a conservative hospital rule. The University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics adopted a rather specific dress code that does not allow denim skirts, faded corduroy pants, sequined tops, baggy tops, bigger that 1.5 hoop earrings, and several more apparels and accessories."

"The new policy will also categorize the department according to colors. All nurses will use white tops medical scrubs or uniforms with red, navy or black pants. Those assigned in the pharmacy will be wearing olives while EMTs and nurse assistants will be the ones flaunting with red, navy or black scrubs. To make sure this coding will be obeyed, charts are provided in every nursing room."

This might be unfair to lots of healthcare workers that find comfort in the medical scrubs they used to wear than this traditional white scrubs. The main reason for these changes is actually decades old. The identity of a nurse is often compromised and many non-medical hospital employees are often attributed by patients being nurses or doctor. And as what author has said from the blog this is implemented to bring the orderliness.
